The DGAW trade fair appearance at IFAT 2014 in Munich was a complete success, both for the association itself and for the numerous co-exhibitors! There was already a consensus during the week of the trade fair that there should also be a joint DGAW stand in Hall B1 at the next IFAT in two years' time.
This year we had a co-exhibitor, BMW Recycling, which attracted a great deal of interest from general visitors to the fair. Numerous interested visitors had the exhibit - a BMW i3 carbon body - explained to them on site.
As part of IFAT, an informal meeting of the "Women in Waste Management" network was also held under the leadership of our board member Sieglinde Groß.
On Thursday, May 8, the DGAW, in cooperation with the Bavarian State Ministry of the Environment and Health, also held a lecture event on "Recycling of new technologies" in the Forum of Hall B1. We would like to thank our former Executive Committee member Gerd Weber for organizing the event, who made a significant contribution to its success.
