Goals and content

Current: At the meeting of the working group on 27.10.2022, Mr. Thomas Turk was unanimously elected as the new head of the working group. Mr. Maximilian Kanzler was unanimously elected as the new deputy head of the working group.
Our sincere thanks go to Mr. Theo Schneider, who retired as planned and had a lasting impact on the work of the working group.


With the Biological Waste Treatment Working Group, we strengthen the professional positioning of a circular and resource economy that is interested in and oriented towards climate and resource protection. We go beyond positions that result primarily from an evaluation of new solutions and approaches based on possible effects on market shares of individual players or groups of players.
The Biological Waste Treatment Working Group is characterized by an intensive exchange of experience between practitioners, engineers and representatives of the authorities. The development of the waste industry on its way to becoming a recycling and energy industry is particularly evident in this area. The tasks and objectives include the open discussion of problems and solutions in the technical field. he evaluation of precautionary values and positive product characteristics to increase the acceptance of secondary raw material fertilizers supports the sustainable and climate-protecting material recycling of organic waste fractions. The working group contributes technical and factual information to professional circles and public debates.
